They Made Me Look Within

I carried a bowl for water
But when I saw little children drinking with cupped hands,
I realized that all I need lies within me, so close at hand.
I carried a bowl for water
But when I saw little children drinking with cupped hands,
I realized that all I need lies within me, so close at hand.

I took an umbrella to shelter me,
Then I saw those children dancing in the rain
I realized that joy within is shelter, be it wetness or be it pain.
