It's funny when you realize that what you've been searching for was right infront of you all this time.
It may have been in the most unlikely place you thought it could be – maybe even the last place you thought it could be. But it was right in front of you. You just refused to see because of what you might see.

And you know what? It’s ok that you weren’t able to locate it before. The pain of not having it back then has brought with it a rich trove of learnings – from experiences with people and places and things – and so makes it all the more precious to make sure to keep it now.
Finding the pieces of you that you have ignored, rejected, hated, or neglected is a journey. It will take you to such depths that you didn’t know were in you.
And here’s the thing: when you get there, you won’t feel relief. You may feel terror, heartbreak, hopelessness, grief, even annihilation – or maybe even a cocktail of these.
And, as it is for a whole lot of us, you actually re-live it all throughout the day, each day. Every time you feel stuck, unable to figure out where to go next, fearful grieved, annoyed, confused, hateful, angry, depressed – these are indications that let you know you chose to survive or be safe or belong in a certain way back then. Brilliantly, truly, truly.
And the experience of those experiences is not in your conscious awareness. Bummer. It’s a bug we humans have. Yup, haha.
BUT we are blessed with a gift: Free Will.
And one of the best uses of Free Will is to make the unconscious, conscious. And therein lies the start of each journey – back to self, back to respect and love and, when we allow it, even appreciation. It is a first step to the intentional creation of what we would like. It is an integration, a journey back to wholeness.
The secret is to know that THAT – whatever that is – is Survivable. That you have actually survived it already. That you have actually Chosen to survive it already — in a certain way, way back when.
The healing happens when you see that in your greatest pain lies your magnificence.
And it is my sincere hope that you find yours.
