The Hardest (and Kindest) Thing to Let Go Of

Hope can feel like a lifeline—until it becomes the very thing keeping us stuck.
Hope can feel like a lifeline—until it becomes the very thing keeping us stuck.

We hope the past could’ve been different. We hope people would’ve loved us better, that choices would’ve been wiser, that pain could’ve been avoided. But sometimes, the bravest and kindest thing we can do for ourselves is to gently say: “It wasn’t.”

𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼, 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿, “𝗢𝗸𝗮𝘆.”
Letting go of that hope isn’t about giving up—it’s about making room for the life that’s waiting for us. The one that isn’t tied to rewriting history, but to building something new, right here.

Have you ever had to release hope to find peace? Or maybe you’re in the middle of that messy, tender process right now? I’d love to hear what’s helped you (or what you’re learning). 💛
